“Croatia, itself a victim of aggression, is providing Ukraine with comprehensive assistance,” he said. “Given our geographical position, we are working to become an energy hub for oil and gas.”
Plenković noted that Croatia has made “significant progress in strengthening energy security,” pointing to the JANAF pipeline system as a key conduit for oil supplies to neighboring countries.
“Today, Croatia can deliver more than 12 million tons of oil to Hungary and Slovakia,” he stated.
The prime minister also highlighted Croatia’s efforts in the liquefied natural gas (LNG) sector, particularly the expansion of the country’s LNG terminal capacity.
“By expanding the capacity of our LNG terminal, we are also helping to strengthen Europe’s energy security,” he added.
