Díaz-Canel confirms Cuba’s readiness for serious dialogue with Washington

Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel met with U.S. congressmen and highlighted the damage caused by the American blockade of the island, Caliber.Az reports, citing his X social media account.

During the meeting with Congress members Pramila Jayapal and Jonathan Jackson, Díaz-Canel spoke about the criminal impact of the trade and economic blockade, particularly the consequences of the energy embargo imposed by the current U.S. administration and the threats of even more aggressive measures.

He also confirmed Havana’s willingness to engage in serious and responsible bilateral dialogue with Washington and to seek resolutions to existing disagreements.

"I confirmed the readiness of our government for serious and responsible bilateral dialogue [with Washington] and the search for solutions to the existing differences," Díaz-Canel stated.
