Earthquake measuring 5.6 hits western China

An earthquake measuring 5.6 on the Richter scale occurred in China’s western Qinghai province on August 14.
The epicentre was at a distance of 204 kilometres from Nagqu city, in which 30,000 people live, TASS reports, citing the European Mediterranean Seismological Centre.
The hypocentre was at a depth of two kilometres.
There was no information about casualties or damage, or tsunami threat.
