Kamchatka hit by 50 earthquakes in 24 hours

Kamchatka has experienced 50 earthquakes over the past 24 hours, Russian emergency services have reported.
According to the regional office of the Ministry of Emergency Situations (EMERCOM), aftershocks ranged in magnitude from 3.5 to 6.5, Caliber.Az reports.
In some settlements, tremors were felt at intensities of three to five on the local scale.
Temporary shelters remain open in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky and Vilyuchinsk, housing 17 people, including five children.
Authorities also reported that the Klyuchevskoy volcano emitted ash three times in the last 24 hours.
Due to heightened seismic activity, tourists have been advised to refrain from visiting the volcano.
