Erdogan discusses Turkish-Israeli relations with Lapid
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has had a telephone conversation with Israeli Prime Minister Yair Lapid.
The telephone conversation took place on the initiative of the Israeli side on July 10, Anadolu Agency informs citing the Liaison Office under the Presidential Administration of Türkiye.
Lapid called President Erdogan on the occasion of Eid al-Adha. During the phone talks, the leaders of Türkiye and Israel discussed bilateral relations and regional issues. The Turkish leader congratulated Lapid on taking the office as Prime Minister.
The Turkish leader expressed hope that the Israeli government will give up the expansion of Jewish settlements in Palestinian lands before the elections and maintain the status quo of the Al-Aqsa Mosque.
