The European Union will allocate an additional €1.5 billion of macro-financial assistance to Ukraine.
It was announced by the European Commission on the social network X, RBC reports.
"Month after month, we continue to play a role in rebuilding a prosperous country while helping to meet its needs," the publication said.
European Commission head Ursula von der Leyen said on September 21 that the EU had allocated €50 billion in aid to Ukraine over the next four years.
She added that in 2023 another €12 billion went to pay salaries and pensions, as well as to support the work of hospitals, schools and other social services.
In addition, the EU is increasing the production of ammunition to meet Ukraine's needs.
