Ex-Polish president Duda joins US conservative think tank
Former Polish President Andrzej Duda has joined the U.S.-based Heritage Foundation as a visiting fellow, the conservative think tank announced on January 27.
In his new role, Duda will focus on transatlantic security, Europe’s defence readiness, the resilience of democratic institutions, and policy recommendations on the future of conservative leadership in Europe, Caliber.Az reports via Polish media.
Heritage said his appointment reflects its longstanding collaboration with foreign conservative leaders who support a “new Europe” founded on sovereignty, secure borders, democratic self-governance, and national defence.
“I am honoured to join the Heritage Foundation. As President of Poland, I witnessed firsthand how deterrence, defence investment, strong democratic alliances, and national determination protect freedom,” Duda said in a statement.
“I look forward to contributing this experience to the Foundation’s long-standing work promoting conservative solutions for Europe.”
Duda’s appointment follows a series of post-presidency ventures. In late 2025, he and his wife, Agata Kornhauser-Duda, registered a limited partnership, “Andrzej Duda PAAD,” in Kraków.
The company, which focuses on business and strategic consultancy, includes services in management, marketing, market research, and education, including foreign language teaching.
Duda contributed 500,000 zloty (approximately $145,000) as general partner, while Kornhauser-Duda’s liability is limited to a 10,000 zloty stake (around $2,900), with both entitled to 50% of profits.
In addition, Duda joined the supervisory board of fintech company Zen.com last autumn, signalling his intention to leverage his international and policy experience in the private sector.
