First 10 Leopard 1A5 tanks arrive in Ukraine from Germany

Ukraine has received the first ten Leopard 1A5 tanks from Germany.

In total, Berlin is to provide more than 100 tanks of this type to the Ukrainian troops, RBC-Ukraine reports citing the German government.

In addition to tanks, Germany transferred to Ukraine 20 MG3 machine guns for Leopard 2 tanks, Marder BMPs, and Dachs engineer tanks.

The new aid package also includes:

- 1,035 155mm shells;
- 1,064 155-mm smoke munitions;
- a pontoon system and 12 trailers;
- 10 ground observation radars;
- 16 Zetros trucks;
- 4 border patrol vehicles;
- 100,000 first aid kits.
