Over the past three days, at least 50 people have died in floods and landslides caused by monsoonal rains in northern and eastern India.
Four people died in the state of Uttarakhand, and 13 more are missing, according to Interfax.
The Nalkari River overflowed in the eastern state of Jharkhand, killing five people; the bodies of four of them were later discovered.
In the neighbouring state of Odisha, authorities reported six deaths due to heavy rains. The storm affected 800,000 people in the area, forcing thousands of residents to flee their homes. The rains caused power outages, running water, and road damage.
