Germany sends new military aid package to Ukraine
Germany has transferred another package of military aid to Ukraine.
An updated list of weapons transferred to Kyiv has been posted on the German government's website, Vesti.ru reports.
The new package includes ten Marder BMPs with ammunition for them, shells for Leopard 2 tanks, Skynex air defence system, missiles for the already transferred IRIS-T SLM air defence systems, about 30,000 ammunition for Gepard anti-aircraft self-propelled launchers, as well as more than 7,000 ammunition for artillery guns of 155-millimetre calibre.
Just over a fortnight ago, the German N-TV channel reported that Berlin had decided to send Kyiv another Patriot air defence system. If this happens, it will be the third such US system delivered to Ukraine. The decision on the delivery is linked to an increase in Russian strikes on Ukraine's infrastructure.
