Chilean journalist praises Azerbaijani president’s insight on peace with Armenia at Shusha Forum
Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev’s address at the 3rd Shusha Global Media Forum attracted global media attention, particularly for his remarks on the progress of peace talks between Baku and Yerevan and his call for accountability over the AZAL plane crash, said Francisco Martorell, Director of the Chilean publication El Periodista.
“Yesterday, I had the privilege of attending a meeting with President Ilham Aliyev. His speech was comprehensive and insightful — offering a thorough analysis of the geopolitical landscape, climate challenges, and broader international issues. I believe the two most significant elements — the legal action against Russia over the aircraft incident and the nearing peace agreement with Armenia — were key topics picked up by the global media,” Martorell said, Caliber.Az reports, citing local media.
He also shared his impressions of personally engaging with President Aliyev.
“On July 19, I had the honour of asking President Ilham Aliyev a question. I inquired about Azerbaijan’s relations with Latin America, particularly with Chile, especially in light of the recent visit by a special envoy to my country,” he added.
