Shusha forum among world's top platforms for media dialogue, says Gusman
The Shusha Global Media Forum has established itself as one of the world's leading platforms for cooperation among media professionals, international journalist Mikhail Gusman said during the 4th Shusha Global Media Forum.
Speaking to Report, Gusman said this year's forum featured discussions on a broad spectrum of issues, ranging from local and regional developments to European and wider international affairs.
He praised Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev for engaging extensively with participants during the event, noting that the head of state spent more than three hours answering questions.
"Today, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev delivered messages of global significance. The head of state devoted more than three hours to the forum participants. Not a single question was left unanswered. The questions covered a very broad range of topics—from local and regional issues to the European context and international affairs in general. Every question was extremely interesting. Even when seemingly minor topics were raised, President Ilham Aliyev addressed them so comprehensively, with such precision and analytical depth, that there was no need for any follow-up questions," Gusman said.
Gusman also highlighted the forum's growing international reach, noting that participation has expanded steadily with each edition.
"Today it was announced that around 60 countries are represented here, with up to 300 delegates participating. These are very significant figures. There are very few—one could say almost no—media platforms in the world that bring together representatives of media outlets from all regions of the world to communicate, exchange views, and speak. That is why it is impossible not to recognize the importance of this forum today," he added.
