Shusha Media Forum significant for Turkic world, official says

The Global Media Forum held in the city of Shusha carries special significance for the Turkic world, President of the Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation Aqtoty Raimkulova has stated.

She said this was why Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev's speech at the forum had made a particularly strong impression on representatives of the global media community, government officials and international organisations, Caliber.Az reports, citing local media.

"In his speech, the President comprehensively highlighted the important role of modern media in the life of society, in strengthening peace and in building international mutual trust. These ideas were received with great approval by everyone present here," she noted.

Raimkulova also stressed the significance of holding such a large-scale international event in the Karabakh region, specifically in the city of Shusha.

"We witnessed the large-scale positive reforms being implemented in Azerbaijan. New residential districts, cultural, educational and scientific institutions, as well as modern infrastructure being created in Shusha, Aghdam, Khankendi, Khojaly and Lachin, are vivid evidence of Azerbaijan's revival and rapid development," she added.
