French companies to begin drone production in Ukraine, Zelenskyy confirms VIDEO
French companies are set to launch drone manufacturing in Ukraine, a move President Volodymyr Zelenskyy described as “very valuable” during a meeting with France’s Minister for Foreign Affairs, Jean-Noël Barrot.
The announcement came as the two officials discussed expanding joint defence production, with a particular focus on strengthening Ukraine’s air defence capabilities, Caliber.Az reports per Zelenskyy's Telegram channel.
They also addressed the training of Ukrainian soldiers and the outcomes of recent meetings in the Ramstein format, which coordinates international military assistance for Ukraine.
In addition to defence cooperation, Zelenskyy and Barrot reviewed ongoing EU accession talks and the enforcement of sanctions against Russia.
“I thank France, President Macron, and Minister Barrot personally for the support we have felt since the very first days of the full-scale war,” Zelenskyy said. “Thank you for your solidarity with our people.”
