Dozens of South Korean tanks arrive in Poland

Twenty-eight South Korean-made K2 tanks have arrived in Poland and will be transferred to the 16th Mechanised Division, stationed in the country’s northeast near Russia’s Kaliningrad Region, Polish Defence Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz has said.

In a post on X, he noted that this was an important step in enhancing the production capabilities of Poland’s industry and consistently strengthening its security, Caliber.Az reports.

The delivery is part of a contract with South Korea for 180 additional K2 tanks.

Subsequent batches will include K2PL tanks, a Polish-modified version that will be produced partly using domestically manufactured components.
