Israel Defence Forces intercept missile from Yemen
The Israel Defence Forces (IDF) have reported detecting a missile launch from Yemen toward Israeli territory and are currently working to intercept the threat.
"The IDF detected a missile launch from Yemen toward Israeli territory. Air defence systems are working to intercept the threat," the military said on its official Telegram channel, Caliber.Az report.
The statement also noted that air raid sirens were activated in several regions of Israel following the launch.
On July 7, Israeli Defence Minister Israel Katz announced the launch of a new military operation targeting the Yemeni Ansar Allah movement (Houthis). As part of this operation, dubbed “Black Flag,” heavy strikes were carried out on a number of targets, including the ports of Hodeidah, As-Salif, and Ras Isa, the Ras Katib power station, and the Galaxy Leader vessel, which was seized by the Houthis about two years ago and used for terrorist activities in the Red Sea region.
