Iran internet shutdown enters 44th day as diplomatic talks with US stall
As Iran’s negotiations with the US stalled, the country’s internet blackout has reached its 44th day, internet monitoring group NetBlocks announced.
The watchdog said earlier this month that the disruption has become the longest nationwide internet shutdown ever recorded in any country.
“The human and economic impacts of the extended censorship measure continue to pile up, breaking global records for shutdowns in a connected society,” NetBlocks wrote on X.

Since the first US and Israeli strikes on Iran, authorities have nearly fully restricted nationwide internet access.
The current outage follows another prolonged blackout in January this year during nationwide anti-government protests.
