Iran-linked hackers publish former Israeli minister’s messages on 14-days war
An Iran-linked hacking group, Handala, said on January 3 that it had published text messages from the mobile phone of former Israeli minister Ayelet Shaked.
Shaked, a former interior and justice minister and prominent right-wing politician, has not publicly commented on the release, Caliber.Az reports via The Times of Israel.
In a statement on X, Handala said it had released what it described as Shaked’s WhatsApp conversations, framing the publication as evidence of the group’s access to senior political figures. The group’s message referenced a figure it called “Naem” and suggested that its influence extended widely within political circles.

As we pledged, we are now publishing the entirety of former Minister Ayelet Shaked’s WhatsApp conversations. This is not merely a matter of transparency, it is a demonstration of our deep and far-reaching access… https://t.co/H8mxtiWPHo pic.twitter.com/kzm3Xqcm5C
The released material reportedly included messages discussing the 12-day conflict in June. The statement also claimed that Shaked sought, through unofficial channels, to plan an action against Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei. Handala warned that any such attempts could carry serious consequences.
