Iran proposes joint probe with Türkiye into alleged missile attacks
Iran has expressed readiness to establish a joint investigative commission with Türkiye to examine allegations that Iranian missiles targeted Turkish territory.
According to Turkish media reports cited by Caliber.Az, the proposal was voiced by Masoud Pezeshkian during a telephone conversation with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
The Iranian president said Tehran was prepared to work with Ankara to clarify the situation and address any misunderstandings surrounding the claims.
“Iran is ready to establish a joint investigative group to examine these claims and eliminate misunderstandings related to the allegations of missile attacks from Iran on Türkiye,” Pezeshkian said.
He added that Tehran is ready for de-escalation in the Middle East, provided that the territories of neighbouring countries are not used to launch attacks against Iran.
