Iran, US show unprecedented openness to creative solutions, says Omani FM
Iran and the United States have demonstrated “unprecedented openness to new and creative ideas and solutions,” Omani Foreign Minister Badr al-Busaidi said following a meeting with US President's special envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner in Geneva.
In a post on X, the Omani Foreign Ministry noted that the meeting covered proposals from Iran as well as responses and requests from the United States regarding “key aspects of Iran’s nuclear program” and the “necessary guarantees” for reaching an agreement, Caliber.Az reports.

Iran and the United States have entered the third round of indirect nuclear negotiations in Geneva, mediated by Oman, aimed at resolving long‑standing tensions over Tehran’s nuclear program amid a major US military buildup in the Middle East.
Both sides previously agreed on general guiding principles in earlier rounds, but sharp divergences remain — the US insists on curbing enrichment and broader concessions, while Iran emphasises its right to peaceful nuclear activity and seeks sanctions relief.
