Germany: Explosion near Augsburg main station injures two PHOTO

An explosion occurred near the main railway station in the German city of Augsburg on September 2, with two people reportedly injured, according to ASTRA.

Local police said an unknown object exploded between buildings near Augsburg Central Station in the morning. The incident disrupted road traffic and public transport services.

Two people sustained injuries caused by the acoustic impact of the explosion.

The station building has been closed as authorities investigate the circumstances of the incident.
