Iranian strike hits Saudi Arabia’s key Jubail industrial zone VIDEO
Iran carried out a powerful strike on the industrial zone of Jubail in Saudi Arabia, causing explosions and a fire in one of the world’s largest petrochemical hubs.
The attack caused significant disruption in the Jubail industrial area, Tasnim reports.
Located along the Persian Gulf coast, Jubail’s industrial zone is a cornerstone of the global petrochemical industry, accounting for an estimated 6–8% of worldwide production. Spanning more than 1,000 square kilometres, the complex hosts a dense network of refineries and chemical plants critical to international energy and manufacturing supply chains.
Among its stakeholders is SABIC, one of the Middle East’s largest petrochemical producers with international investment ties. The area also includes major joint ventures such as the Sadara complex, developed in partnership with Dow Chemical, and the Amiral project, a collaboration between Saudi Aramco and TotalEnergies.
