Pakistan working to establish direct flights to Moscow
Pakistan is working to launch direct air services between the country and Moscow, Pakistani Ambassador to Russia Faisal Niaz Tirmizi said on the sidelines of the Eastern Economic Forum in Vladivostok.
“We are currently working on the first Fly Jinnah flight from Pakistan to Domodedovo,” Tirmizi said, Russian media reports.
The ambassador said establishing a direct air link would be important for strengthening trade and transport connections between Pakistan and Russia. He added that regular flights could also help expand business and educational ties between the two countries.
The planned service would connect Pakistan with Moscow’s Domodedovo Airport, one of the Russian capital’s major international airports.
Pakistani and Russian authorities previously discussed launching direct flights between Islamabad and Moscow in February 2026.
