Israeli airstrikes target Hezbollah in southern Lebanon, killing two senior commanders
The Israel Air Force (IAF) has confirmed the neutralisation of two senior Hezbollah commanders from its anti-tank missile and operations unit in southern Lebanon, following an airstrike earlier this week.
In addition to the airstrikes, IDF troops operating in southern Lebanon uncovered weapons storage facilities and successfully targeted command centres, both from the ground and air, Caliber.Az reports, citing Israeli media.
Over the past 24 hours, the IAF has carried out a series of extensive airstrikes, hitting more than 100 sites across Lebanon. Among the targets were missile launchers, weapons depots, command centres, and other military structures.
The update follows a situational assessment by Major-General Ori Gordin, the head of Israel’s Northern Command, who visited the area to review the ongoing security situation in southern Lebanon.
