Israel reaffirms commitment to ceasefire agreement with Lebanon
Israel has reaffirmed its commitment to a ceasefire agreement reached with Lebanon and the United States, while stressing that it reserves the right to respond to any threats or attacks, according to a statement posted on X by Israel’s Ambassador to the United States, Yechiel Leiter.
Leiter said Israel remains committed to the agreement provided that Hezbollah does not violate its terms, adding that the ceasefire would be maintained under those conditions. He also emphasised that Israel retains the right to act in self-defence under all circumstances, Caliber.Az reports.

He stated that Israel maintains its right to respond to attacks and to prevent threats against its territory, civilians, and military personnel.
"Under all circumstances, Israel retains its right to respond to attacks against it and to thwart threats to its territory, citizens and soldiers," he wrote on X.
Earlier, Lebanese Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri made similar remarks regarding the ceasefire framework.
