Israel bombs multiple military sites across Iran, including nuclear reactor In overnight escalation / VIDEO
On the night of June 18 to 19, as many as 40 Israeli Air Force fighter jets launched strikes using more than 100 munitions against dozens of military targets in Tehran and other areas of Iran, according to a Telegram post by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF).
Among the targets was a decommissioned nuclear reactor in the vicinity of the city of Arak, the post reads, per Caliber.Az.
The strike reportedly hit the main structure of the reactor, a facility previously involved in the production of weapons-grade plutonium.
The attack specifically targeted a component of the reactor believed to retain the potential for restoring plutonium production capabilities for nuclear weapons.
In addition to the reactor, Israeli aircraft struck multiple Iranian military production facilities, including plants manufacturing raw materials and components for ballistic missile assembly, as well as facilities producing air defence systems and surface-to-air missiles.
Israeli airstrikes also destroyed Iranian air defence batteries, missile depots, radar installations, and detection systems, delivering a coordinated blow to Iran’s military infrastructure.
