Israeli Army strikes Hezbollah drone operator in Lebanon
The Israeli Air Force has targeted a militant from Hezbollah's Aerial (127th) unit who launched a drone toward Israeli territory, resulting in the operator's death and the destruction of the UAV.
The Israeli military conducted multiple attacks throughout the day on various Hezbollah positions in Lebanon, Caliber.Az reports per Israel Defence Forces (IDF).
The strikes included targeting rocket launchers that had fired at Israel earlier in the day, as well as weapons depots, military facilities, and other strategic sites.
Notably, on September 23, the Israeli army launched operation “Northern Arrows” against Hezbollah formations, which included extensive airstrikes targeting the group's military assets in Lebanon.
Following one of these strikes on September 27, Hezbollah’s Secretary-General, Sheikh Hassan Nasrallah, was killed in Beirut.
The group confirmed his death and vowed to continue its resistance against Israel. Subsequently, on the night of October 1, the Israeli army announced the commencement of a ground operation in the border areas of southern Lebanon.
On the night of October 21, the Israeli Air Force conducted strikes on numerous sites associated with organizations funding Hezbollah. These operations targeted areas in Beirut, southern Lebanon, and several locations deeper in the country.
Most of the attacks focused on branches of the illegal bank "Al-Qard al-Hasan," which serves as a financial conduit for the terrorists. The IDF reported that these "gray" bank branches hold hundreds of millions of dollars for Hezbollah, which are utilized for weapon procurement and paying the group's fighters.
