Israel says commander of Hamas’ Nukhba forces eliminated

The Israel Defence Forces carried out a strike in the Khan Yunis area of the southern Gaza Strip on September 2, killing Muhammad Mahmoud Marshad Al-Qadi, a company commander in Hamas’ Nukhba forces.

The military said Al-Qadi infiltrated the Sufa outpost during the October 7 attack and commanded the operation there. During the war, he was also involved in holding hostages in Hamas captivity in the Rafah area, Caliber.Az reports.

According to the IDF, Al-Qadi had recently been involved in training Hamas terrorists and efforts to restore the group’s military capabilities.

It further stated that Al-Qadi had advanced attacks against IDF troops and Israeli civilians, describing them as systematic violations of the ceasefire agreement. It said he was targeted and eliminated because of the threat he posed.

IDF troops operating under the Southern Command remain deployed in the area in accordance with the agreement and will continue to act to remove threats, according to the statement.
