Israeli former PM visits Azerbaijan’s Guba PHOTO

Former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert, who is in Azerbaijan to participate in the tenth Global Baku Forum, visited Azerbaijan’s Guba district.

Olmert was informed about the Guba district at the meeting in the office of the Guba executive power, APA reports.

The former prime minister met with representatives of the local community in Red Town (Krasnaya Sloboda) settlement, where Mountain Jews live compactly, visited the world's only Historical and Ethnographic Museum of Mountain Jews "Gileki" and a six-domed synagogue.

Krasnaya Sloboda is a rare place in the world, the second after Israel, where Jews live compactly. The Jewish religious community and the National Culture Centre operate here.
