President Aliyev honours renowned poet with wreath at farewell ceremony PHOTO

Azerbaijan’s President Ilham Aliyev and First Vice-President Mehriban Aliyeva have sent a wreath to the farewell ceremony for People's Poet Nariman Hasanzada, which is currently underway at the International Mugham Center.

The ceremony is attended by the poet's family members, friends, cultural and public figures, as well as media representatives, Caliber.Az reports per local media.

Hasanzada will be laid to rest at the First Alley of Honour.

The People's Poet passed away on August 1 in a hospital, where he had been receiving treatment following a prolonged illness.
