Israeli military intercepts suspicious objects in airspace
Israeli military forces have detected the incursion of two suspicious objects into the country's airspace from Lebanon.
The first object was spotted in one of the regions of Western Galilee in northern Israel. Approximately half an hour later, another suspicious target was detected, this time near the coastal town of Rosh HaNikra, located right at the border with Lebanon, Caliber.Az reports via the Israel Defense Forces (IDF).
Both objects were intercepted. Due to the threat of falling debris as a result of the interceptions, air raid sirens were activated in several areas in northern Israel. Approximately 15 rockets were fired at northern Israel from Lebanese territory.
After the sirens sounded in the Haifa Bay area, Upper Galilee, and Western Galilee, around 15 rocket launches from Lebanon were detected. Some projectiles were intercepted, while several others were identified as having fallen in the region.
