The Israeli military believes that after successful massive strikes on Syria, they now have an opportunity to target nuclear facilities in Iran.
This statement was made by the Israeli Army Radio Galei Tzahal, Caliber.Az reports via Russian media.
Various Israeli military organisations, including the army, are coordinating with different intelligence and defence agencies to present the country's political leadership with options for action regarding Tehran.
According to Israeli military estimates, Syria's once-powerful air defence system has been destroyed by more than 80 per cent following Israeli Air Force strikes. Previously, Syrian air defence systems posed a significant threat to the Israeli Air Force, but the situation has changed, with Syrian airspace effectively open for flights.
Earlier, the Israeli military reported carrying out extensive airstrikes on Syria, claiming to have destroyed over 90 per cent of identified surface-to-air missile stocks, as well as a significant volume of other weaponry, including missiles and aircraft.
