Israeli strikes kills hundreds of medics in Gaza since start of conflict

The Palestinian Ministry of Health has said that about 500 medical workers have been killed and hundreds injured in the Gaza Strip as a result of the military operation conducted by Israel since October last year.

Israeli strikes destroyed 130 ambulances in the Palestinian enclave, Caliber.Az reports per foreign media.

According to the ministry, attacks on medical infrastructure in the Gaza Strip have deprived local residents of access to basic medical services, while poor water supply and sanitary conditions have led to an increase in premature deaths. Attacks on medical facilities and doctors have also occurred in the West Bank, where more than 340 such incidents have been reported.

The death toll in the Gaza Strip as a result of Israeli military action since October 2023 has risen to 39,790, with 92,002 people injured.
