ISW: Ukraine conducts ground operation on Kherson's left bank

Russian forces continued offensive operations along the Kupyansk-Svatove-Kreminna line on December 6 but did not make any confirmed advances. 

The Ukrainian General Staff reported that Ukrainian forces repelled at least eight Russian attacks in the Kupyansk direction near Synkivka (9km northeast of Kupyansk) and Novoselivske (14km northwest of Svatove), and at least 26 Russian attacks in the Lyman direction near Terny (17km west of Kreminna), the Serebryanske forest area (10km south of Kreminna), Bilohorivka (12km south of Kreminna), Spirne (25km south of Kreminna), Vesele (31km south of Kreminna), and Rozdolivka (30km south of Kreminna), Caliber.Az reports, citing the Institute for the Study of War (ISW).

ISW writes that Russian troops continued ground attacks near Bakhmut on December 6, but did not achieve any confirmed successes.

The Ukrainian General Staff reported that Ukrainian forces repelled at least 10 Russian attacks near Bogdanovka, Kleshchiyivka and Andreyivka.

The Russian Defense Ministry said that Russian troops in the Bakhmut area repelled Ukrainian attacks in the areas of Bohdanivka, Kleshchiyivka and Toretsk.

ISW reports that Russian troops conducted offensive operations in the Avdiivka area on December 6 and achieved a confirmed advance. A geolocation video released on December 6 shows that Russian troops have made little progress in an industrial area southeast of Avdiivka.

The Ukrainian General Staff reported that Ukrainian forces repelled at least 25 attacks east of Novobakhmutovka, northeast of Berdychy and near Avdiivka, Stepove, Severny, Tonenky and Pervomaisky.

Ukrainian troops counterattacked near Avdiivka on December 6 and recently confirmed the advance. A geolocation video released on December 5 shows that Ukrainian forces have advanced in Stepovoye.

The Ukrainian General Staff reported that Ukrainian troops repelled Russian attacks near Krasnogorovka and Maryinka, Pobedy and Novomikhailovka.

Lieutenant Colonel Yaroslav Cherepurny, a representative of the Ukrainian brigade operating in the direction of Maryinka, said that Russian troops control most of Maryinka, but Ukrainian forces control a small part of the settlement.

According to ISW, on December 6, Russian troops conducted limited ground attacks near the border of Donetsk and Zaporizhia regions but did not achieve any confirmed successes.

The Ukrainian General Staff reported that Ukrainian troops repelled Russian attacks near Novodonetsky and south of Zolotaya Niva.

The Institute writes that Ukrainian troops continued counter-offensive operations in the western part of the Zaporizhia region on December 6, but did not achieve any confirmed successes.

The Ukrainian General Staff reported that Ukrainian forces repelled at least five Russian attacks west of Verbovo and Rabodino on December 6.

A geolocation video released on December 5 confirms that Russian troops are maintaining positions on the islands in the Dnieper River south of Veletenskoye, Kherson region. However, it does not follow from these images that Russian troops have recently advanced in the area, and they have probably held these positions for some time.
