Japan-linked vessel exits Persian Gulf through Strait of Hormuz
A Japan-related vessel that had been retained in the Persian Gulf has successfully transited the Strait of Hormuz and is now heading toward Japan, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan said on April 29.
The ministry said the vessel, which had three Japanese crew members on board, has exited the Gulf and is currently en route to Japan. It described the development as positive, particularly in terms of ensuring the safety of Japanese nationals, Caliber.Az reports.
On April 29, a Japan-related vessel which was retained in the Persian Gulf passed through the Strait of Hormuz and exited the Persian Gulf. This vessel, with three Japanese crew members on board, is currently navigating towards Japan.

Tokyo has repeatedly called on Iran—including through summit-level and foreign ministerial contacts—to guarantee free and secure navigation through the strategic waterway for vessels of all nations.
The ministry said Japan will continue to urge Iran to ensure safe passage through the Strait of Hormuz for all ships, including those linked to Japan.
