Kazakh PM instruct to help Russians with registration, employment
Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Alikhan Smailov instructed to ensure law and order in connection with the increase in the number of incomers from Russia, to strengthen explanatory work and help them in accordance with the legislation of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), the press service of the country's government said, Interfax reports.
The issue was discussed at a government meeting on migration issues on September 26.
In particular, Smailov instructed officials to assist Russians in timely registration and in resolving labour issues. He also demanded that measures be taken to stabilize the rental housing market. In order to prevent social tension in the regions, central and local government agencies were instructed to strengthen the coordination of actions.
Smailov is convinced that all government agencies, within their competence, should conduct explanatory work both among Kazakhstanis and among migrants, related to the rights and responsibilities of the parties. In the coming days, hotlines will be launched for this purpose.
