Strong solar flares expected to increase again

Russian Institute of Applied Geophysics warns of strong solar flares on September 7-8.

The institute said in a statement that solar flare activity was generally low; however, M-class flares are expected, Caliber.Az reports, citing Russian media.

The institute noted that the geomagnetic field could be unsettled on September 7 and slightly disturbed on September 8.

Earlier, on September 5, a strong M-class flare reportedly occurred on the Sun.
