Kazakhstan presents UAV named after Azerbaijani female pilot PHOTO

The Kazakhstan Engineering company is demonstrating the latest developments and products of the national defence industry at the fourth Azerbaijan International Defence Exhibition "ADEX-2022" and the 13th International Exhibition "Internal Security, Guard and Rescue Equipment" - Securex Caspian-2022 in Baku, Azerbaijan.

The unmanned aerial vehicle of the Kazakh production called "Leyla" is one of the achievements of the Kazakh aerospace engineers displayed at the fair. It can be used in the agricultural and oil and gas industries, geology, monitoring, search and rescue operations, Trend reports.

The drone was named in honour of the first female pilot of Azerbaijan and Caucasus, Leyla Mammadbayova, who trained more than 4,000 paratroopers and pilots during World War II.

The drone accelerates up to 160 kilometres per hour and can reach a height of up to 3.5 kilometres. Its flight duration is up to five hours, the range is 80-100 kilometres, and payload capacity can reach 20 kilogrammes.
