Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan agree to increase mutual trade up to $1 billion
The authorities of Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan signed 14 documents in various areas of cooperation.
This was announced on on October 15 by the press service of Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev following his talks in an expanded format with Turkmen leader Serdar Berdimuhamedov, according to TASS.
Among them, in particular, a joint statement by the leaders of the two countries and a comprehensive program for bilateral cooperation for the period 2022-2024.
During the talks, issues of trade and economic cooperation were also discussed. "The parties agreed through joint efforts to increase the volume of mutual trade up to $1 billion," the press service explained.
In addition, the meeting participants discussed in detail a number of topical issues of the bilateral agenda and identified the main areas for further cooperation between Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan.
