Macron's approval rating plummets to historic low
A staggering three-quarters of French citizens express dissatisfaction with President Emmanuel Macron.
This is evidenced by the results of a poll conducted by Ifop company for the Journal du Dimanche newspaper, Caliber.Az reports via local media.
This marks the first time since the unrest of the "Yellow Vests" movement in December 2018 that Macron's popularity has fallen to 25%, with disapproval ratings climbing to 75%.
The poll attributes this decline to perceptions of Macron's "disproportionate ego" and the "dissolution fiasco" of parliament.
Additionally, 55% of respondents voiced dissatisfaction with Prime Minister Michel Barnier, despite his government not yet taking significant action.
Conducted between September 11 and 20, the survey included 2,098 participants and carries a margin of error of 1 to 1.4 percentage points.
