Media: Trump's attacker had explosive materials in car
Thomas Matthew Crooks, who shot at former US leader and US presidential candidate Donald Trump, had previously studied details of the attack on Slovakian Prime Minister Robert Fico.
The head of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) office in Pittsburgh, Kevin Rojack, said that Crooks searched the Internet for information about power plants, mass shootings and the attempted assassination of Fitzo, as a result of which the politician was seriously injured, Caliber.Az reports, citing El Pais.
In addition, in preparation for the attack, Crooks used multiple aliases on various websites to acquire "firearms materials and materials to make explosives." Such explosives were later found in the boot of the ex-president's shooter's car.
Thomas Matthew Crooks shot Trump on 13 July when he was speaking at a campaign rally in Pennsylvania. The politician was wounded in the ear, after which the shooter was eliminated by Secret Service snipers.
