Mercedes-Benz will completely stop producing cars with manual transmissions in 2023.

The company's management has decided to abandon cars with "mechanics" due to low consumer demand for such models, Gazeta.ru quotes Automobilwoche as saying.

In addition, the company is gradually increasing the production of electric vehicles, which, due to their design features, are not equipped with such a transmission.

The German automaker has long headed for the rejection of "mechanics". So, in the United States, there have been no models with manual transmission for many years, and in Europe, it is now found only on A-Class, B-Class, and CLA models in basic trim levels.
