Russian attack on Ukraine's Kharkiv leaves dead and injured
One person was killed, and 13 others were injured in Kharkiv and the surrounding Kharkiv region as a result of a Russian missile strike on December 24, said Head of the Kharkiv Regional State Administration Oleh Syniehubov.
The attack targeted suburban areas of the city, Caliber.Az reports, citing Ukrainian media.
“One person was killed as a result of missile strikes on the outskirts of Kharkiv. Eleven people sustained injuries of varying severity. The injured have been hospitalised and are receiving qualified medical assistance,” Syniehubov said in an initial statement.
He later clarified that the number of injured had increased by two. As a result, the Russian strike has left at least one person dead and 13 others wounded.
As a reminder, on the morning of December 24, Russian troops attacked the suburbs of Kharkiv, leading to the temporary shutdown of the city's metro.
Later the same day, Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov reported that Russia launched a series of targeted strikes on a thermal power plant in the suburbs of Kharkiv.
