Money transfers from Georgia to Azerbaijan sharply increase

Money transfers from Georgia to Azerbaijan have sharply increased.

Some $46 million were transferred from Azerbaijan to Georgia in January-December 2023 which is $9.2 million or 16.6 per cent less than in 2022, APA reports citing the statistics data published by the National Bank of Georgia.

Around $55.2 million was transferred from Azerbaijan to Georgia over 12 months of 2022.

Money transfers from Georgia to Azerbaijan increased by $11.2 million or 44.6 per cent in 2023 compared to the previous year and reached $36.3 million. This figure reached $25.1 million in 2022.
