Azerbaijani tomatoes conquer foreign markets

Azerbaijan continues to strengthen its position in international agricultural markets, with a notable increase in tomato exports during the first half of 2025.

The country exported 134,375.69 tonnes of tomatoes from January to June 2025 — a 17.6% rise compared to the same period last year. In monetary terms, the value of tomato exports grew by 8.8%, totalling $149.03 million, Caliber.Az reports, citing the State Customs Committee.

Tomatoes remained one of the key products in Azerbaijan’s non-oil export basket, accounting for 1.16% of total national exports in the first half of 2025. This marks a slight increase from the 1.06% share recorded during the same period in 2024.
