Multiple people missing following fatal volcano eruption in Indonesia

Eleven climbers have been killed, and 12 are still missing after Indonesia's Mount Marapi erupted in West Sumatra on December 3.
As reported by Al Jazeera, a total of 75 people were in the area, with 26 not evacuated. Video footage captured a massive cloud of volcanic ash spreading across the sky, covering cars and roads with debris.
Despite the eruption, rescue operations were temporarily halted due to a minor eruption on December 4.
The publication recalls, that Indonesia is part of the Pacific's "Ring of Fire" and has 127 active volcanoes, with Mount Marapi being one of the most active on Sumatra.
