New NATO drills announced in Romania
New exercises of NATO member countries are planned to be held on the territory of Romania.
They will be held in late May and will be completed in early June of this year, RBC-Ukraine reports, citing the Romanian Defence Ministry.
"About 10,000 soldiers from Romania and 13 allied and partner countries will take part in the Saber Guardian-23 exercises, which will take place from May 29 to June 9," the report adds.
Representatives of Albania, Bulgaria, France, Georgia, Greece, Italy, Northern Macedonia, the Republic of Moldova, the Netherlands, Montenegro, Poland, Portugal and the USA will join the drills.
The main stages of the exercise will be held at training grounds and military facilities, as well as in settlements on the Romanian territory. Starting from May 11, the deployment of equipment and personnel will begin, which will move in columns along the roads, accompanied by military police calculations to the landfills.
