Pashinyan: Armenia ready to recognise Azerbaijan's territorial integrity
Armenia is ready to recognise the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan within the framework of the Azerbaijani SSR.
The Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan made the statement while presenting the government's report for 2022 in the Parliament, Caliber.Az reports quoting Armenian media.
"A peace agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan is realistic if both countries clearly, without ambiguity and subterfuge, recognise each other's territorial integrity and undertake today and forever not to make territorial claims to each other," Pashinyan said.
He said he had agreed on this with the Azerbaijani President during meetings in Prague and Sochi.
"Official Yerevan and Baku are trading accusations of failing to comply with the agreements. I want to reiterate that Armenia fully recognises territorial integrity and expects Azerbaijan to do the same, recognising the territory of the Armenian SSR as Armenian territory," he said.
