Pentagon urges US Congress to pass aid package for Ukraine and Israel

"We also urge Congress to pass the supplemental funding requests that would allow us to keep supporting Ukraine and Israel and humanitarian assistance across the globe and make critical investments in the Indo-Pacific," stated the Deputy Pentagon Spokesperson.

According to her, it is crucial for US national security that Congress promptly approves President Joe Biden's request for additional funding.

Singh also stressed that the additional funding would be an investment in the US defence industry.

She mentioned that the Pentagon currently has limited funds, and significantly more resources are needed to support Ukraine, which is why the US administration has turned to Congress.
