Polish PM denies phone call with Trump following US election victory
Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk has denied reports of a phone talk with US President-elect Donald Trump following the election.
"There was no such conversation," Tusk said during a press conference, Caliber.Az reports via Russian media.
"This morning, I have learned that Polish Deputy Foreign Minister Władysław Bartoszewski relayed this information. I will clarify with Bartoszewski how he came to this conclusion," he added.
On November 6, the Polish deputy foreign minister said that Donald Tusk had called Donald Trump to congratulate him on his victory in the US election. The voting in the US election concluded on November 6 morning.
While official results have not been finalised yet, according to the US media, Trump has already secured around 300 electoral votes, surpassing 270 required. Trump has declared himself the 47th president of the US. Kamala Harris, the candidate from the ruling Democratic Party, conceded defeat and acknowledged Trump as the president-elect.
